Dhillion McConnell Massey, 18, of Perkins, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, as a result of a tragic motorcycle accident. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, December 5, 2011 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater. Public visitation will be held from 1:00-6:00pm on Sunday, December 4, 2011.
Dhillion was born on March 5, 1993 in Fresno, CA to Connie King and Kelly Massey. In 1995, the family relocated to the Cushing area. When Dhillion was 12 yrs old, he moved to Missoula, MT with his father. Dhillion attended schools in Cushing, OK and Missoula, MT before his recent move to live with his mother and sisters in the Perkins area. Upon returning to Oklahoma, Dhillion was employed with OTC Sand in Yale. He also attended church at the Yale Assembly of God.
When Dhillion was not in school or working he could be found fishing, hunting, camping, riding his motorcycle, attempting not to ruin a good cookie recipe, snowboarding, playing video games, making funny videos, working on cars, or hanging out at the lake. When he was young, he even attempted to fill his moms gas tank with water, which he assumed was much like gasoline, so they would be able to drive to the lake. He also enjoyed rapping, target shooting, and just being goofy. More than anything, Dhillion enjoyed being with his family and was extremely excited about the recent news that he would soon be a father.
Dhillion Massey was kind hearted man who loved life and strived to put a smile on others faces. He was a practical joker who was ornery, full of life, and who totaled his first Cadillac at age 3. He was sneaky, hilarious, and wildly over-protective of his mom, sisters, and fianc. He loved to laugh and was the glue that held his family together. Dhillion was a caring son, a wonderful brother, a loving fianc, and a loyal friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on through the life of his child and his memory will remain fresh in the minds of those lucky enough to call him a friend.
He is preceded in Death by his step-father Mike Farrell and his uncle Gene Morley. He is survived by his mother Connie Farrell, his father Kelly Massey, six siblings: Jessie Doan, Sara Massey Fick, Billy Massey, Ray Massey, Timmy Massey, and Katie Massey. Grandparents Vicky Gilliam and Jerry Allen. Great Grandma Janette Chipman. Aunt Sheila King and fianc Ariel Bobo.
