Donna Wehr Moreland

Donna Wehr Moreland, 71, passed away February 7, 2023, in her home. Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater, OK. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Family and Friends may gather from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Ripley Community Church, 101 Coyle Ave, Ripley, OK. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Ripley, OK.

Donna was born December 10, 1951, in Wellington, Texas to Ray LeRoy Bridge and Charlotte Dell VanAusdall of Hollis, OK. The family relocated to Stillwater, OK when she was in the 4th grade. Donna graduated from C.E. Donart High School in 1970.

Donna married Dale Wayne Wehr in March of 1973 in Stillwater, OK where they resided for a short time before purchasing a home in Ripley, OK where they began raising and showing Pony of America’s horses. Dale passed away in September 1991.

Donna then married Carl Moreland on March 15, 2013. They enjoyed their years together cutting and hauling hay and working cattle. Carl passed away in December 2020.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Shelli Wehr Smith and husband Scott of Piedmont, OK, and Julie Horton and husband Phil of Savanna, OK. Donna also leaves behind grandchildren, granddaughters Sawyer Grace Smith, Alexandria Praytor and husband Jantzen, Addison Butler and husband Andrew, and grandsons Caleb Stapleton and Makala and Dakota Wood, as well as four great grandsons and one great granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister Brenda Bridge Williams and husband Jerry of Burleson, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale Wehr, husband Carl Moreland, grandson Chase Scott Smith, and brother Bob Bridge.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to any of the numerous Animal Rescue Shelters.
