Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 10:00am at Dighton Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. Interment will follow at Parkland Cemetery in Parkland, Oklahoma. Michael was born on March 13, 1993, at home in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Jamie and Janet Stevens. He grew up in Perkins and graduated from Stillwater High School. Michael followed in his great-great grandfather’s footsteps of being an iron worker and welder. He left his mark across the country.
He was a fantastic musician, guitarist, and djembe drummer. He also played the drums, harmonica, and piano. His baby girls’ eyes would light up as she danced to the sound of her daddy’s drumming. He was a member of the OKC Community Drum Circle and the OKC OPEN Mic Circuit.
Michael enjoyed the outdoors, nature, paddle boarding, boating, fishing, and camping with his daughter Luna and partner Adrianna, his lifelong best friends Jacob and Jordan Payne and their son Jase, Jacob was like a brother to Michael.
He was a member of the OKC Minibike Club. He raced minibikes, also rebuilt, and flipped them. He would get excited when it was an easy fix, double his money as he sold it. Then he would be on the hunt for his next project.
Artistic, he painted anything he could get his hands on. He enjoyed glass blowing, playing cards and poker.
He cooked for family and friends, but most of all he loved his little dog Keoki and gaming with his brothers Mathew, Christian and nephew Oakley. Michael loved the lord and found comfort in praying for his grandpa Dave and other family members.
He is survived by his partner Adrianna, his daughter Luna Eclipse Leahlani Stevens, his mother Janet Stevens and his father Jamie Stevens and wife Doreen, his siblings, Matthew Stevens, Christian Shoemate, Katelyn Kuykendall and brother-in-law Colten Ward, his grandparents April and Ken Linn and Wayne Rupert and Grandmother Kathy Gleason as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Michael is preceded in death by his uncle Brian Rupert, grandfather William Stevens, great grandparents Kenneth and Octavia Owens, and Wayne and Mary Rupert.
