Alec Reid Norcom, age 31, of Edmond, Oklahoma, tragically passed from this life as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident Friday morning, December 11, on U.S. Highway 285 near Orla, Texas. He was born on February 27, 1984, in Norman, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. A service celebrating Alecs remarkable life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Life Church campus in Stillwater with interment following at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Alec is survived by his wife, Heather Hornberger Norcom, two children: Elizabeth (Ellie) and Adalyn; his mother, Michelle Wilson, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; his father, Bradley Norcom, of Canton, Georgia; two brothers, Tyler Norcom, of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Bryce Norcom, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two step-brothers, Dustin Cook, of Acworth, Georgia, and Casey Cook, of Kennesaw, Georgia; grandparents: Sam and LaVada Bennett, of Checotah, Oklahoma, Pauline Wilson, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and Wanda Prier, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; aunts and uncles: Kevin Wilson, of Pryor, Oklahoma; David and Leanne Hill, of Pryor, Oklahoma; Tammy Wilson, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; John and Kim Bowman, of Edmond, Oklahoma; Derek and Alina Norcom, of Wilsonville, Oregon; Kevin Ekiss, of Guthrie, Oklahoma; Trinia Prier, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; cousins: Jamie Wilson, Jacob Twist, Jesse Twist, Colton Hill, Michael Ekiss, Lauren Blount, Chelsea Bowman, Mallory Bowman, Joel Bowman, Cuyler Hampton, Justyn Hampton, Makynna Hampton, Holly Norcom, and Carter Norcom.

Alec is preceded by his grandparents: J.C. Wilson; Robert and Elizabeth Norcom, of Oklahoma; aunts: Leslie Ekiss and Theta Prier, of Oklahoma.

Alec was a true warrior spirit and a loving family man. He always faced lifes challenges with charismatic leadership, excelling in every endeavor; quick with a knowing glance and a helping hand to those who needed it. He engaged in competitive sports at an early age, succeeding in all. Alecs path led him to the military early in life. After having served a series of distinguished tours with the U.S. Army in Iraq, he left military service and entered the private security sector in support of U.S. foreign policy in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Upon returning stateside, Alec served as a certified surgical technologist before pursuing a position in the oil field services industry.

Alec touched many lives with his outgoing personality, genuine character, kind approach and infectious humor. He leaves a permanent legacy of love in countless lives, from his immediate and extended family to his brothers-in-arms and to the friends he collected along the way.
