Alene B. (Friedemann) Allinson, 85 passed on Sunday, February 23, 2020 in Oklahoma City. Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 9am-8pm at Dighton Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 2pm at Salem Lutheran Church in Stillwater. There will be a viewing one hour prior. Interment will be at Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
Alene was born to Herbert R. and Alma M. (Reinholtz) Friedemann on April 23, 1934 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She lived all her life in the Stillwater area. She was raised on a farm west of Airport Road.
She attended Fair Plains School in Payne Country through the eighth grade. She graduated from Stillwater High School in May of 1952, and then went on to attend A&M College, now OSU, in the 2-year secretarial program.
She married Ellis E. Allinson, her high school sweetheart, on August 22, 1954. She went to work for the Federal Land Bank (now Farm Credit) in 1963 as office manager and Assistant Vice President. She retired in 1984, then went to work for the Payne County Bank in Perkins for one year. In 1985 she took a job with the Oklahoma Closing and Title Co. as a real estate closer, processor and title insurance work and retired on November 13, 2008. She volunteered at Salem Lutheran Church to make quilts as well as for Cherokee HCE and helped at Elite Repeat after her retirement.
She was active in the Fire Department Auxiliary Spitfires in the 1970’s, Jaycee Janes, Epsilon Sigma Alpha, and an active lifetime member of Salem Lutheran Church. She and her husband were members of the Sim-R-On Sams Camper group. She loved the outdoors and to take in the beauty of the world.
Alene is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Norma Vivan Friedemann.
She is survived by her husband Ellis of Stillwater, two daughters, Malinda Allinson Geary of Colorado and Deborah Gayle Wilson of Stillwater, three grandchildren, Carrie (Wilson) Lynch and husband Jerome, Tanya (Geary) Timmons and Lindsey (Geary) Lupow and husband Justin as well as five great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Johnson, Asher Timmons, Shaelyn Timmons, all of Colorado, Keira Lynch and Jerome Lynch III all of California. She is also survived by three sisters, Katherine Hanson of Bartlesville, Carolyn Garber and husband Larry of River Forest, Illinois, and Henryette Ogburn of Oklahoma City and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Salem Lutheran Church, 101 S Duck St., Stillwater, Oklahoma 74075.
