Amy Lee Brown, age 87 of Stillwater passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Her funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater and will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the First Christian Church in Stillwater with Pastor Owen Cayton officiating. Interment will be held on Wednesday at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, Oklahoma
Miss Brown was born on February 13, 1923 in Claremore, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Henry Harley and Flora Madeline (Nichols) Brown. Amy grew up in Claremore and graduated from Claremore High School. Following High School she attended Business College and graduated with a Business Degree. She moved to Tulsa in the late 1960s and she worked as a Secretary for the American Association of Petroleum Geologists for forty years. She moved to Stillwater from Tulsa in June of 2010. She was affiliated with the United Methodist Church in Tulsa. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, word games, humor, animals and was a former member of the wildlife association.
Amy is survived by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Criswell of Stillwater, two nieces Kathleen Ann Fox of Olivette, Missouri and Charlene Gay Kinkaid of Ponca City, Oklahoma; a nephew, Gilbert Michael Criswell of Stillwater; four grandnieces, three grandnephews; two great grandnieces and two great grandnephews; special friend Don Fruchting and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents
