Anna Mae Fenderson was born December 9, 1926 to James and Ceila Capers in Oakchia, Alabama. She passed peacefully on Sunday, October 17, 2021 in Stillwater, Oklahoma at the age of 94 surrounded by her loving family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Dighton Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.
Anna was 1 of 16 children. She later met the love of her life and married Henry Fenderson on November 16, 1946. They moved to Elyria, Ohio where they lived for 21 years before moving to West Palm Beach for 3 years. His employer relocated them to the state of Oklahoma where they lived for 40 years before his passing. During these years they started a family, John Fenderson, Ned Fenderson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Annette (Fenderson) Turner and husband Robert of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Tim Fenderson and wife Terri of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and bonus son Charles Bracket; two grandsons Robert Turner of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Timothy Fenderson of Wichita, Kansas and one granddaughter Keysha Sanders and husband Joe of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Although being a mother was a blessing and brought her great joy being a grandmother she often stated was the greatest gift. So she thought until she became a great grandmother to Chablee, Julia, Jakobe, Ky'Lynn Sanders and Keegan Bass. She enjoyed watching them do whatever it was that they were doing.
Anna enjoyed her family and friends making it priority to be a stable presence in their lives. She was a woman that was strong in her faith and never missed an opportunity to give her time. Her passion for people, contagious smile, and her ability to grandmother anyone with in reach is the legacy she leaves behind. Anyone that knew her loved her.
