Barbara Ann Moody

Barbara Ann Moody, 72, of Stillwater passed into the arms of her Lord on Friday, May 18th, 2012. Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home of Stillwater has been entrusted with the arrangements which will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater with Pastor Aaron Cole presiding.

Barbara was born on November 11, 1939 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to Jack and Bonnie Rider. At a young age, the family moved to Yale, OK and she graduated from Stillwater High School with the Class of 1957. She married her high school sweetheart Elva Moody in Stillwater in 1955, a union that lasted 51 years until his passing. She worked for 10 years with Tiger Drug, and also with Sears for 15 years. She was known for her loud laugh and putting everyone else first. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, soap operas, taking care of her dogs, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her 6 children: Jeff Moody and wife Cheryl of Stillwater, Marny Moody and wife Jennifer of Perkins, Bobby Moody of Arizona, Mike Moody and wife Linda of Las Vegas, Kim Malcom and husband Byron of Edmond, and Terri Dean and husband Michael of Norman; two siblings: Pam Burrows Shinault and Larry Burrows; 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Elva Moody, a brother Harry Jack Rider, granddaughter Elizabeth Dean, and great grandson Gabriel Prewitt.
