Betty Ann Caywood,86 of Stillwater passed from this life on November 11, 2014. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and a service celebrating her life will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater.
Betty Ann Dunlap was born on January 23, 1928 in Ripley, OK to Stasia and Irene F. (Bryson) Dunlap. She married Carl Flesner Jr in the late 1940's and they had a son Ken Flesner. Mr. Flesner was in the construction industry so Betty lived in several different states as the family followed the construction boom. Following Carl's passing, Betty married Henry Cawood in Stillwater in 1978. She spent the majority of her time working at Safeway and IGA , then accepted a position with Stillwater Public Schools working in food service. She served as cafeteria manager at both Skyline and Sangre Ridge Elementary school. Betty enjoyed all the wonderful friends she made while working at Stillwater Public Schools before retiring in 2003. After her retirement, Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending services at Highland Park Baptist Church.
Betty Cawood was a kind and generous woman who loved to smile. She was a loving mother, a caring grandmother, and a trusted friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Carl Flesner Jr, and her second husband Henry Cawood. She is survived by her son Ken Flesner and wife Laura of Stillwater, OK. Three grandchildren: Dawn Dressler of Midwest City, OK, Nick Malone and wife Stephanie of Caribou, ME, and Liz Robbins and husband Ryan of Stillwater, OK. She is also survived by her four great grandchildren: Logan Dressler, Connor and Madelyn Malone, and Fletcher Robbins.
