Billy Clyde Black

Billy C. Black, 58, of Perkins passed from this on August 26, 2015 doing what he did best, working hard. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Perkins and a service will be held at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater at 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery south of Glencoe.

Billy Clyde Black was born on August 13, 1957 in Dumas, TX to Doyle and Elaine Black. He Graduated from Dumas High School and a year later he married Lois Holt. Billy and Lois resided in Dumas, where Billy worked for the Swift/ Monfort Meat Packing Plant. Billy had three sons: Wesley, Roger, and Billy Ray. In the mid 1990s, Billy relocated to the Perkins area to be near his family. He spent nearly a decade working for Mercury Marine in Stillwater and after the plant closed, he went to work for Vassar Manufacturing in Perkins. Billy made many good friends at Vassars and enjoyed working there with his son, Wes.

Billy was a quiet and easy going guy who enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, and giving his friends and family a hard time. He loved watching OU football and being outdoors, especially doing yard work. Billy was a family man and he always made his boys his priority. He enjoyed coaching their sports teams and was always their biggest supporter. Billy Black was a wonderful father, a proud grandfather, a dependable employee, and a trusted friend and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Darrell, Johnny, and Bobby.
He is survived by his sons: Wes, Roger, and Billy. A sister, Carol. Six Grandchildren: Chad, Matt, Luke, Noah, Chastitty, and Sypris
