Bobby Lee Roberts

Bobby (Bob) Lee Roberts, 67, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, March 7, 2022 after a long battle with cancer and dementia. His loving wife stayed by his side until his last breath. Cremation services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater, Ok.

Bob was born on August 9, 1954, to Bobby Warren Roberts and Arline Mae (Kreider) Roberts. He was born and raised in Blackwell, OK, and always shared cherished memories from his childhood. His friends and family called him Bobby growing up, but he later came to be known as Bob.

He met his life soul mate, Beckie (Schnabel) Roberts, at the grand opening of his driving range in Longmont, Colorado on June 17, 1994. They were united in marriage on July 2, 1996, and after many moves, they made their home in Stillwater, OK where he remained until his passing.

Bob was outgoing and had compassion for all walks of life. He never met a stranger he couldn’t talk to, and always looked for opportunities to share some of his life stories. He loved the game of golf and was an amazing teacher and coach. Bob loved cooking Thanksgiving dinner for his family, and was known by many for his awesome-and spicy-crawfish boils. He cherished spending time with family and loved them deeply.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Beckie; children, Sabrina Plyer-Roberts and wife Erin; Nicole Roberts, all of Stillwater, OK; Jamee (Roberts) Adams of Tucson, Arizona; Cary Roberts and wife Amy of Richmond Virginia; one sister, Mary Lynn Bibus of Venice, Florida; one brother, Kim Roberts of Vinita, OK; Five grandchildren, Trenton Plumley, Layla Adams, Cameron Adams, Riley Adams, Scotlynn Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, John Roberts, as well as his parents.
