Bobby Jewell Ritter

Bobby Jewell Ritter, 89, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Dighton Marler Funeral Home from 9am to 5pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 10:00 A.M., at Dighton Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. Interment will follow at Glencoe South Cemetery in Glencoe.

Bobby was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on March 1, 1935, to Warren and Hazel (Schoonover) Ritter. Bobby married Anne Elaine Steward on September 4, 1964. Bobby graduated from Eureka High School. He continued his education at Oklahoma A&M. He took many other continuing education classes through the years at Conners State College.

Bobby later joined the national guard 245th. Bobby and Anne moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma in 1975 where they lived with their two children until Anne passed away in 1983.

Bobby loved raising chickens, living on the family farm, going to the casino, fighting with Roy and in his earlier years cooking green beans for his niece Hazel. Roy Nichols has helped Bobby for the last six years.

Bobby was preceded in death by his wife Anne, his parents Warren and Hazel Ritter. Two brothers, Warren John Ritter and Gene Ritter, Nephew Johnny Jewell Ritter and one sister Nellie Alderson.

He is survived by his two children, Michael Warren Ritter of Stillwater and Catherine Anne Lewis of Bartlesville. He was a loving papa to Cash Ritter, Isabella Fowble, Memphis Ritter, Axel Ritter, Alyssa Thomas, Tyler Swim, Colton Swim and one great granddaughter, Layla Elaine Thomas.

Bobby will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
