Bonnie Jean Manke

August 17, 1929 — February 17, 2012

Mrs. Bonnie Jean Manke passed away Friday, February 17, in Duncan, OK.
She was born August 17, 1929, in Muskogee, OK, to Sherman and Daisy Cox. She graduated from high school in Spiro, OK, in 1947 and married Phillip Gordon Manke, also of Spiro, in 1951.
Bonnie was a homemaker and very active in the Payne County Extension Homemakers Club and the UMW at Perkins and at Eden Chapel. She volunteered at the Stillwater Medical Center and for the Payne County Election Board.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip; sons, Michael, and wife Rosie, of Monument, CO, Patrick, and wife Linda, of Edgewood, NM, Kevin, and wife JoAnn, of Marlow, OK; daughter, Jean, and husband, James Jones of Roff, OK; eleven grandchildren, Natalie, Andrea, Matthew, Kristin, Nicholas, Timothy, Kelly, Samantha, Jacob, James and Johnathan; and two great-grandsons, Gabriel and Gavin.
A memorial service will be held at Eden Chapel Church Saturday, February 25, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to the American Red Cross.
