Bonnie Jean Matzat, age 78, of Stillwater, OK was born on May 8, 1932 to Morris and Charlotte (Kerns) Stinson in Owasso, Michigan and passed from this life on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 in Stillwater, OK. She grew up and attended school in Michigan later moving to Indiana. She worked for Kaiser Aluminum Manufacturing for over 30 years. Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, cooking, birdwatching and making peanut butter fudge. Bonnie volunteered at the Stillwater Medical Center and served community meals at the First United Methodist Church. She was most proud of her life when she became a Christian and mother. Her sweetest memories were the birth of her children and when she married Richard Matzat on Valentines Day in 1981. Bonnie loved the Lord dearly. Memorial services for Bonnie are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Stan Warfield officiating. Memorials may be sent to Judith Karman Hospice c/o Palmer-Marler Funeral Home, 5106 N. Washington, Stillwater, OK 74075. She is survived by: husband Richard of the home. 2 sons; Edwin J Sallee of Hamlet, Indiana, M. Gregory Sallee of Wanatah, Indiana. 1 daughter; Sandra Huhnke of Stillwater. 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren. 3 sisters; Lou Wyckoff of Valparaiso, Indiana, Rita Marshall of Valparaiso, Indiana and Cynthia Dawn Hokanson of Columbus, Indiana. She was preceded in death by; both her parents, sister; Caroline Evener and 1 great-grandson; Brody Johnson. Condolences may be sent to the family via our online guestbook at www.pmcfh.com.
