C D. Pressley

Carroll C.D. Duane Pressley, a longtime Perkins Resident passed away at the V.A. Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 78. Funeral Service will held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Perkins with Chaplain John Owen presiding. Interment will follow at Perkins Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Perkins. C. D. was born on May 22, 1932 to Glenn and Gladys (Mayhue) Pressley. He grew up in Jamestown, Arkansas and was educated in Arkansas and California. On August 4, 1951 he married the love of his life Jeanetta (Foulks) Pressley in California. C.D. then joined the U.S. Navy in 1952 and served during the Korean War where he attained the rank of Seaman First Class. They lived in California for a number of years, returning to Stillwater in 1963. In his spare time, C.D. rode and broke horses, and enjoyed attending rodeos. He liked to work with leather and cedar to make furniture. C.D. loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. C.D. is survived by his wife Jeanetta of the home; children Calvin Ray Pressley of OKC, Ronda Pressley Smith and husband Mike of Decatur, TX, Duane Pressley and wife Mitzi of Cushing, and Kevin Pressley and wife Marina of Cushing; sister Doyce Jenkins and husband Jerry of Eufaula; grandchildren Tim Pressley, Raychelle Herrington, Jason Smith, Kelsey Smith, Chad Pressley, Shannon Rhodes, Mitchell Pressley and Kati Pressley; 8 great grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, C.D. was preceded in death by brother Vance Pressley and sister Vicky Allen.
