Burial will follow in the Lawson Cemetery, Yale, OK.
The son of the late Bert Woods and Maggie (Henson) Woods, Carl was born on June 7 1942 in Yale, OK. He was reared and educated in the Yale area. He was united in marriage to Rosa Lee Cornett on December 11, 1959 in Sapulpa, OK.
Carl began working for Oklahoma State University in 1965 where he was an Agriculturalist. He retired from the Agronomy Department in 1995. Carl loved to farm, to him it was a hobby instead of work. He called himself a steward of the land, buying land, working it, and making it profitable. But his greatest joy in life in his later years has been spending time with family traveling, going to the lake, and going fishing. Carl was devoted to his family and his church. He took great joy in working on his 3W Ranch and woods equipment company.
Survivors include his wife Rosa Lee of the home; three children, Carl Woods, Jr. and his wife Pam of Pauls Valley, Cecil Woods and his wife Tena of Edmond; and Teresa Webb and her husband Dan of Yale; one sister, Anna Marie Hamilton of Yale; six grandchildren, Derek Woods, Rachel Woods, Jacoby Woods, Kristin Woods, Zachary Webb and his wife Tara, and Nikki Ray and her husband Shawn; one great-grandson, Cooper Webb; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
