Pastor Carole D. Lowe, 71, of Perkins passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior on May 24, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater and a service celebrating Caroles amazing journey will be held at 10am on Friday, May 29th at Liberty Church in Perkins. Public visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 8am to 8pm.
Carole Dyvonne Jacobs was born on July 7, 1943 in Stillwater, OK to Rex Mears Jacobs and Doris Duvon (Gilmore) Jacobs. She was raised in the Coyle area, graduating from Coyle High School in 1961. Following high school, Carole spent two years at Ok State University in Stillwater. In 1962 Carole married Morris D. Logue in Coyle, OK. Shortly after the marriage, the family relocated to Illinois where Carole would graduate from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Banking. She began working as a bookkeeper for the Bank of Casey in Casey, IL and over the next 16 years she would be promoted to the vice president of the bank.
In 1987, Carole returned to the Coyle area and accepted a position with the Oklahoma Student Loan Association. In 1997 she married Larry Lowe and they shared many wonderful years together. Carole also received her Masters of Theology from Life Christian University in 1998began serving as the interim pastor for several churches. In 2001, she founded Liberty Church in Perkins, OK and in 2008, she started a Life Christian University Theology School extension branch at Liberty Church.
Carole had a passion for reading the Bible and sharing the Gospel with anyone who would listen. She was a wonderful teacher and had a unique way of communicating Gods word in a relevant way. She enjoyed shopping and traveling to Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Panama, Cuba, Honduras, and Israel on mission trips. Carole Lowe certainly left an unmistakable mark on this world and on the lives of those lucky enough to have known her.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Larry Lowe of Perkins. Two children: Jay Dee Logue and wife Lavonne of Mulhall and Tonda Logue of Orlando, FL. Two step children: Lonny Lowe of Perkins and Lori Leigh Nicholson and husband David of Tallahassee, FL. Four grandchildren: Allyson Rogers, Sheena Taylor, Tia Nicholson, and Aliza Lowe and 8 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Liberty Church in Perkins.
