Carolyn Sue Jardot passed away Monday, September 13, 2021, at Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was 71. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.
Carolyn was born January 12, 1950, in Chandler, Oklahoma to William Grayson Watts and Celia Mae (Gaither) Watts. She grew up in the Chandler/Tryon area and later graduated from Stillwater High School in 1968.
Carolyn loved being a daughter, sister, aunt, and mom, but her favorite title was Big Ma, Grandma, and Granny. Her greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, with whom she shared her love of Jesus with daily. She could always be found at the bingo hall with countless bingo daubers in her purse. Some of her enjoyments included quilting, beating everyone at Farkle, watching sermons, and of course bingo. She loved sightseeing and visiting out of state family with her sisters. She will always be remembered for her no bake cookies and her famous “secret” fudge recipe. Her contagious laugh and big heart will be missed by so many.
Survivors include her children, Jeff Watts and wife Amber, and Jason Jardot and wife Michelle of Ripley, Oklahoma, Kim Jardot, Kelly Bruce and husband Bobby of Stillwater, Oklahoma; five sisters, Barbara Gabrish and husband Pat of Moore, Oklahoma, Patricia Langley and husband Danny of Ripley, Oklahoma, Shirley Battles and husband Alvin, Marilyn Gay, Rowena Gottfried and husband Ronnie of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two brothers, Randy Watts of Aztec, New Mexico, and Eddie Watts and wife Rhonda of Ripley, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, Taylor Watts, Mitch Jardot, Todd Jardot, Brady Jardot, Addie Jardot, Torey Bruce, Meghan Bruce, Gage Bruce, Paige Palmer (Baillie), E. J. Williams (Crystal), and Brittney Hendrickson (Chelsey); six great-grandchildren, Chloe, Callie, Blake, Everett, Ernie Jr., and Shawn; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William Watts, one sister, Opal Pritchett; and one grandson, Matthew Bruce.
Visitation will be Friday, September 17, 2021 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater from 9 AM to 5 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home with Josh Pritchett officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater. Pallbearers will be Mitch Jardot, Brady Jardot, Todd Jardot, Gage Bruce, Paige Palmer, and Ronnie Gottfried.
