Catherine Ann Cain

March 31, 1948 — January 19, 2014

Catherine Ann Cain, 65, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Stillwater Medical Center with her loving family surrounding her. Services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 10:00 am at Lawson Cemetery in Yale, Oklahoma with Brother Mich Dershem officiating.

Cathy was born March 31, 1948 in Glendale, West Virginia to Robert Lee Hartley and Mildred (Myers) Hartley. Cathy and John Cain married and made their home in Yale, OK.

Cathy was raised in Yale, OK. She graduated from Central Vo-Tech nursing school in 1974. Cathy practiced nursing in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas until retiring in 2004. After retirement, Cathy and her family made Yale their hometown. She enjoyed her visits with her neighbors and close friends. Cathy loved to garden her plants and flowers. Roses and mums were her favorite of all the flowers she gardened. Cathys appearance was her number one priority. She wanted to look nice every day for her and everyone she came into contact with. Cathy also enjoyed her Pomeranian, Kenny.

Cathy was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Owasso, OK and was saved in 2004.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father Robert Lee Hartley of Wadestown, West Virginia in 1950 and her mother Mildred (Myers) Hartley of Yale, OK in 2004.

Cathy is survived by her husband, John of the home; son, Brandon Cain, of the home and her everything dear, granddaughter Addie, Brandons daughter, that meant everything to her. Cathy looked forward to the days when Addie would be there with her.

Cathy is also survived by another son, Randy Lewis, and wife Tammy of Yale, OK; two daughters, Linda Wingard and husband, Darrel of Blossom, TX, and Lisa Acreman and husband, Doyle of Tulsa, OK. Two sisters, Roberta Tucker and husband, Danny of Oilton, OK, Virginia Gonzoles of Billings, OK; a sister-in-law, Betty Cain of Ellinwood, KS; nephew, Jeff Tucker and wife Cruz and son, Logan of Oilton, OK; niece, Robin Jones of Billings, OK; two niece-in-laws, Mona Cain of Virginia, and Tonya Cain of Maryland. Cathy has 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stillwater Humane Society
