Graveside services for Charles William King, age 79, of Stillwater are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Max Rudd officiating. Services are under the direction of Palmer-Marler-Carberry Funeral Home. Mr. King was born on January 22, 1929 to Walter and Mary Mignon (Calvin) Monroe in Afton, Iowa. Charles married Twilla Jean Hancock in May of 1950 and they have been blessed to enjoy 58 years of marriage. Mr. King grew up and attended school in Stillwater, OK. He was a 35 year member of the local IBEW 444 of Ponca City and a member of Lost Creek Methodist Church. Charles was an ordinary man who enjoyed life. His hobbies included fishing, gold prospecting and being outdoors. He also enjoyed farming and working cattle. Mr. King cherished husband and father went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 12, 2008 in Stillwater, OK He is survived by: Wife, Twilla of the home; Daughters; Ramona White and husband George of Cape Coral, FL, Charla Kavanaugh and husband John of Oklahoma City, OK, Sue Knox and husband Robert of Oklahoma City, OK and Christina Miller and husband Captain Tim of Bossier, LA, and Charles also has 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Walter and Mary Monroe and his daughter Belinda Carol Brown. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Judith Karman Hospice of Stillwater.
