Christina Rose Klingaman, 77, of Perry, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Perry Green Valley Nursing Home. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Perry.
Christina was born August 14, 1943, in Mulhall, Oklahoma, to Paul John and Hazel Agnes (Bussard) Rothermel. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Guthrie, Oklahoma in her younger years and then Mulhall/Orlando Schools. She went to cosmetology school in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she met Asa Cavett, who was attending barber school. They married in 1965 and moved to Oklahoma City. In 1969, they moved to Perry, Oklahoma, where he opened the Razor’s Edge barber shop and she worked in a beauty shop. Later, she went to work at Ditch Witch in the assembly department. She married Stan Klingaman on October 30, 1988. At the time of their retirement in 2000, she was working as a Data Tech in the Product Development Center.
Some of her hobbies included sewing, collecting antiques, reading and gardening. She also loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, enjoying her pets, and traveling around antiquing. She will be greatly missed.
Those left behind to mourn her passing include her two daughters, Angela Cross and husband Todd of Perry, OK, and Rhonda Meek and husband Dannie of Orlando, OK; brother, Charles Rothermel and wife Betty of Guthrie, OK; sister, Dorothy Marion and husband Johnny of Mulhall, OK; grandchildren, Courtney May and husband Todd, Samantha Keith and husband Shayne, Kenton Thedford, Paige Sinko and husband Connor, and Kylie Cavett; great-grandchildren, Asa May, Mason Sumpter, Adler Elliott, Maggie May, Jaydon Sumpter, and Paizley Cavett. Survivors also includes step-children Paula (Klingaman) Wood and spouse Jim, Paul Klingaman and spouse Pat, Kenny Klingaman; step-grandchildren, Brittany Pepper and spouse Justin, Tanner Wood, Mindy Crosswhite; step-great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Lily, Aubrey, Kysar, Daxton, Skylar, Ava, and Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Hazel; two brothers, Eddie, and Joe; and her husband, Stan.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 10, 2021, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home followed by Rosary at 6:00 pm at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 10:00 am, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Perry with Father Bala Raju Pudota officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Orlando, OK. Pallbearers will be Todd May, Kenton Thedford, Shayne Keith, Steve Marion, Jay Stevenson, and Rocky Meek. Honorary pallbearers are Connor Sinko, Steve Pankhurst, Paul Knecht, and Reed Coldiron.
