Christine Tietz passed away peacefully June 26, 2023, surrounded by family.
She was born to Mack and Grace Smith December 25, 1915 in Agra, OK. She was the oldest of their 3 children having 2 brothers.
She married the love of her life, George Tietz, July 6, 1936. Together they had eight children, George Jr., Judith, Beth, John Mack, Keith, Terri, Christopher & Carol.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, parents, Siblings, her four oldest children and three grandchildren, but the most impactful loss was that of her husband George in March of 1960. She raised the six children still living at home in her beloved small house in Mehan, Oklahoma, where she lived for over seventy years.
A major turning point in her life was July 23, 1969 when she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Although always a positive person despite tragedies experienced throughout her life – her Bible based hope to live on a paradise earth with no more sickness, pain, tears, or death, is a hope that sustained her for many years.
She will be deeply missed by her surviving children and their spouses, Keith and Dot Tietz, Terri and Dwane Stevens, Chris and Denise Tietz, Carol and Jim Hartgrave; along with her daughter-in-law, Freeda Tietz, sons-in-law, Richard Boultinghouse, and Garry Bilger; daughter-in-law, Rusty Tietz; the 16 living grandchildren, their mates, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 15th at 3PM. Located at 6110 S. Perkins Road, Stillwater, OK 74074. All are welcome.
