Christopher Joe ‘Crash’ Davis departed from this world, all too soon, on March 15, 2020. Chris was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on May 3, 1978 to Gary Davis and Cathryn Gazaway. He attended school in Stillwater from elementary school to junior high school, and went on to attend high school in Perry.
Chris has always been a hands-on person, even as a child. He learned radiator and mechanical work at the age of 14, and went on to attend vocational school where he earned a certification in transmission repair. He also did a lot of on-the-job training where he learned skills in heating and air repair.
Chris had a wonderful knack for refurbishing old furniture, and often helped his dad Gary for several years at various auctions around the state.
Early in life, Chris had his first child with Amy Lakawitz, Calob Davis. Later, Chris met Diane Holt in 2003, when he gained his first bonus son, Chris Holt. Together, Chris and Diane had three children: Kaitlyn Davis, Casey Davis and Kaidyn Davis. His children truly were the light of his life.
In 2008, Chris met the love of his life, Nikki Williams. It was with Nikki, that he gained three bonus children: Anitra Ingmire, Eric Butler and Darreal Williams. Chris and Nikki loved to gather up their kids and go fishing, have bonfires and hanging out at the lake. They were together until Nikki’s passing in 2016.
Chris was well known around town as ‘Crash.’ Good or bad, he lived up to every letter of his nickname. Chris was always extremely proud of each and every one of his children and bonus children, and spoke of them often in admiration. Chris was always the life of the party, constantly laughing and joking around with everyone.
Chris was a big fan of Willie Nelson, and his dad always said they had a lot in common, referring to the music and smoking ‘pot.’ Chris would always agree, laughing.
Chris is preceded in death by his grandfather, George Davis; step-mother, Sharlott Klingaman Beier; step-father, Ray Gazaway; and his significant other, Nikki Williams.
He is survived by his grandmother, Lula Davis, of Stillwater; grandparents, Burt and Margaret Coate, of Perkins; sister, Amy Coomer and her husband Mike, of Stillwater; father, Gary Davis, of Perry; mother, Cathryn Gazaway, of Perkins; step-sister, Jessica Terrel, of Perry; step-brother Rayden Webb and his wife Kaitlyn, of Blanchard; and step-bothers Clint Gazaway and Christopher Gazaway and his step-sister, Jessica Moey.
He is also survived by his children, Calob Davis and his girlfriend Chea, of Perry; Kaitlyn Davis, Casey Davis, and Kaidyn Davis, all of El Reno; Chris Holt, Anitra Ingmire, Eric Butler, and Darreal Williams, all of Perry; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
