Crystal was born on July 23rd, 1962 in Cushing, Oklahoma. She graduated from Stillwater High School in 1980. She enjoyed being a member of the drill team, among other activities. Crystal went on to become a talented hairstylist and worked in the Stillwater area for twenty years. Her career fit perfectly with her outgoing personality and she made many friends through her work. At the age of twenty-two, she gave birth to a daughter, and later, at the age of thirty-seven, gave birth to a son. Her children were the light of her life and she enjoyed many good times with them.
She lived in Stillwater most of her life, with a brief time spent in Oceanside, CA and later in Alexandria, VA. Crystal truly blossomed later in life when she first trusted Jesus Christ as her savior. Like many, she led a troubled and discontented life for many years, filled with trials and tragedy. But luckily, once she was led to the Lord, she lived with joy in her heart despite hardship. She turned her misfortunes into a testimony to many who thought there was no hope left. What Crystal enjoyed most of all was talking to people. She saw the innocence in everyone. Crystal was one of the special few that looked at all people with blinders on. On top of that quality, she also had an evangelists heart. She led countless people to the Lord and enjoyed telling anyone and everyone the good news of Jesus Christ. She was not content until everyone she spoke with understood that our salvation comes from faith alone in Christ alone, even strangers shed never met. Crystal dedicated her life to being a faithful disciple of the Lord. She fit into forty-six years what most struggle to attain in eighty.
Crystal was a beloved mother to Jade Maxwell and Caleb Jardot, a treasured sister to Dwayne Burns and wife Renee, Bill Burns and wife Connie, Lee McFarlin and wife Diane and Suzie Washington. She was also a priceless daughter to Art and Marilyn McFarlin. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Elsie (LeaDean) Smith and grandfather JW Johnson.
Active pallbearers will be Shane Jardot, Keith Maxwell, Steve Deaver, Bob Barker, Andy Logan, and Mark Thomas. Anyone wishing to make donations may make them to the benevolence fund at Countryside Baptist Church. Condolences may be sent using our online guestbook at www.pmcfh.com
