Dale Eugene Sharpton, 54, of Stillwater, OK passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Stillwater Medical Center. If any phrase could sum-up the life of Dale Sharpton, it would be that he was the glue that held his family together and he loved his family fiercely. Dale was first and foremost a father. He raised four children with only the help of his mother, and made it look easy. He always did his best for his kids and made them feel special. Dales family knew he was only a phone call away. Each morning, Dale would call his son at 6:30am to ensure he was awake and to ask him where they were working today. He was very proud of his children and he loved to brag about his son Rick, who shared his passion for roofing. He loved that his youngest son could pick up any instrument and turn it into gold. He loved his spitfire baby girl Kalea, who has an ornery streak a mile long and how he loved to buy her dresses because he loved to make her smile.

Dale was happiest when his family was together and he was always there to take care of everything so that no one had to worry. A phone call to him at 1am was never to late for him to bring over a pizza and to sit around a bon fire with his boys, just to spend time with them. The conversation usually reverted back to roofing and whose roof they would do next. Dale said that the only addiction he ever had was roofing and his family believes that on a roof is where Dale found his peace. He was a hard working family man to his very core. When he wasnt roofing, he enjoyed camping and vacationing with his kids.

Few sons love their mother like Dale loved his mother Connie. It was a deep love that was to the bone. He always made time to watch OSU football games with his mom. Helping his mom or his brothers or sister was never a burden to Dale, but always a great joy. Dale loved to make the people in his life smile and he was always there to comfort those he loved. Dale loved his grandchildren and he was always there for any bumps or bruises with an I love you or shake it off, superman or a hey there sissy girls or an Im gonna steal your shoes or hey there buddies or nobody is bigger than my Max! He loved to joke around and keep the mood light. He loved to laugh and each of his four kids inherited his beautiful smile.

Dale Sharptons smile, his light, his smile, and his dedication to everything he did made this world a better place. He touched the lives of everyone he knew. There will never be a better son, brother, father, grandfather, or friend and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dale was preceded in death by his granddaughter Bethany Dawn Rupp and his maternal grandparents Myrtle and Oren Hadley. He is survived by his mother Connie Hadley Sharpton of Stillwater. Three sons: Rick, Cody, and Jared Sharpton, all of Stillwater. A daughter, Kalea Sharpton of Stillwater. Two Brothers: Doug Sharpton of Stillwater and Steve sharpton of Preston, MN. A sister, April Putnam of Perry. Grandchildren: Elijah, DeWayne, Bryce, Peige, Evelynn, Maximus, Titus, Bo, and Abby.
