Dale Webb

Dale Lenhard Webb was born on September 28th, 1917 to James Frank and Winnie (Endicott) Webb in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dale attended school and graduated from Marland High School. He was drafted into the Army and served in the 7th Calvary. He married Elsie Dude on September 14th, 1940 in Hominy, Oklahoma. The couple had been married just short of 66 years. The family made their home in Hominy and raised there children there. Dale worked as a mechanic his entire life and spent many years working at JB Walker. He was a member of the Hominy Masonic Lodge # 350 for over 50 years and had previously served as a Master Mason. He had also served as a volunteer fireman for the city of Hominy for over 20 years.
Dale loved to fish and hunt. He was always joking with people and enjoyed giving others a hard time. He was a very devoted family man and had a very strong bond with his family. He especially enjoyed spend time with his grandchildren and was a constant companion to his wife, Dude.
Dale passed away on Tuesday, August 15th, 2006 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was 88 years old. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Dude Webb of the home; two sons, Jerry Pokey Webb and Wife Mary and Tony Webb and Wife Fran; Grandchildren, Toby Webb, Johnnie Webb and wife Hallie, Michelle Webb and Mary Katherine Webb all of Hominy, Oklahoma; two brothers, Bill Webb of Collinsville, OK, Val Webb of Chanute, KS; three sisters, Jane Kauffman of Phoenix, AZ, Shirley Altmark of Florida and Sue Nell Dupree. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Rosie Passmore and Mildred Yeager; and two brothers, Sheryl Big Webb and Bob Webb.
Services for Dale Webb will be held on Friday, August 18th, at 10:00 a.m. at Powell Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Powell Funeral Home in Hominy, Oklahoma. Kathryn Ramsay will be officiating services. The family has entrusted Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home in Stillwater with the arrangements.
