Darlene was born on October 23, 1932 in Kaw City, Oklahoma to Darrell & Ruth (Acker) Selby. Darlene has been a long-time resident of Noble County where she grew up in the Red Rock and Morrison area. She graduated from Red Rock High School and married the man of her dreams, Robert J. (Bob) McClure, Jr. They were married on May 28, 1950, at the Christian Church in Red Rock. They made their home in Morrison, OK where her husband, Bob was a rural route mail carrier for Morrison and Stillwater. Darlene was a homemaker, yet helped on the family farm, while raising four children. She was an excellent cook and loved to host family dinners. Her focus and true passion was taking care of her family first, before her other hobbies. She always had a smile on her face and couldn’t wait to see her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She loved those babies! Darlene was an excellent seamstress, and also, loved to quilt and cross stitch. Her heart was kind and she had a sweet, Godly spirit about her. She was a very strong woman and fought hard the last two years. The lives she touched were many and she will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Survivors include: 2 daughters, Carol Jarrell of Edmond, OK, Linda Watkins and husband John of Texas; 2 sons, Robert D. and wife, Judy, and David and wife, Brenda, all of Morrison, OK; 1 sister, Gaynell Fairless and husband, Tom of Yukon, OK; 2 sisters-in-law, Pat Sanders and husband, Lee of Perry, OK, and Barbara Garvie of Sumner, OK; 8 grandchildren, Chris Milliron and wife, Ingrid, Jason Sullins and wife, Keisha, Brandon Sullins, Carina Watkins, Jarrad Watkins, Lauren Short, Shelly Gallaway, Dusty McClure and wife, Summer; 16 great-grandchildren, Drew, Kyla, Tucker, Wyatt, Jackson, Isaac, Jadyn, Ashton, Luke, Dacey, Elise, Sailor, Korbin, Klover, Kye, and Sawyer.
