Deanna Collean Rickrode

Deanna Collean Rickrode, 49, of Stillwater passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Stillwater Medical Center with her family by her side. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 1:30pm. Arrangements are under the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.


Deanna was born on September 8, 1966 to Rodney Dean and Darla Collean (Dodd ) Marran. She grew up in Woodward where she graduated from Woodward High School in 1984. Deanna began working for Mutual of Omaha where she learned and excelled in Insurance and Medical Coding. She obtained her degrees in CPC and CPMA. She was transferred to the Mutual of Omaha in Aberdeen, S.D. Deanna married James Rickrode in Woodward, Oklahoma on February 18, 1989, to this union Katelyn was born. They lived in Aberdeen, South Dakota and she began working as a manager for MFG Fiberglass. She began competing in Archery and won numerous awards and contest. Deanna eventually moved back to Oklahoma City and worked for Epworth Villa in 2009 and then moved to Stillwater to work as a manager for Stillwater Medical Clinic coding. She loved her job and all the doctors, nurses and other coders. Deanna enjoyed reading, shopping, cooking watching movies and a good challenge. Most of all, she loved spending time with her daughter which was her greatest accomplishment.


Deanna is survived by her husband, James Rickrode; daughter, Katelyn Collean Rickrode; step-brother, Brandon Meier and wife Bobby of Shattuck, OK; step-sister, Tiffany Henry and husband Lance of Cabet, AR; mother, Darla Marran and her husband, Dale Meier of Oklahoma City.


Deanna was preceded in death by her father in 1999, her grandparents; infant son, Elliott Dean Rickrode; step-son, David McClellan Rickrode.
