Debbie G Jones

Debbie G. Jones, 67, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at her home in Manitou Springs, CO with her loving son, Craig M Jones, close friend Craig S. Jones and her devoted dog Bailey all at her side. Arrangements are under the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. Services will be held Friday, December 4, 2020 at 10:00am at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Cox officiating. Debbie’s ashes will be spread at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Friday, December 4, 2020, with an additional spreading ceremony in Colorado in Spring 2021.
Debbie was born January 14, 1953 to Clarence and Oleta Dunbar in Ardmore, OK. She was raised In Stillwater, OK and after graduating Stillwater High School attended Oklahoma State in pursuit of a B.S. in Finance. After attending Oklahoma State, Debbie began an extensive banking career where she developed a passion for lending and subsequently devoted the vast majority of her career to that field. Throughout her career she touched the lives of many of her coworkers who truly became lifelong friends.
Debbie was known for her sense of humor, sense of compassion and an unwavering dedication to the happiness of those around her. Debbie always made herself available to family and friends. Debbie was the person you called for advice, when you needed a shoulder to lean on or for sound guidance on the challenges life had to offer. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, which included spending time with family and baking spice cakes for those close to her.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Oleta Dunbar and her brother, Bill.
Debbie is survived by her Son and Daughter-in-law, Craig & Mindy Jones of Louisville, KY; Sister-in-law, Linda (Dunbar) Garmy and her husband, Phillipe Garmy of Paris, France; Nephews Matt Dunbar, his wife Carolina and daughter Sofia & Mark Dunbar and niece Paige Dunbar, Uncle Tommy Ray and wife Jan.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Debbie’s memory to the American Cancer Society c/o Dighton Marler Funeral Home, 5106 N. Washington, Stillwater, Oklahoma 74075.
