Dianna Lou Forquer, 71, of Stillwater, passed from this life on January 26, 2013 in Tulsa, OK. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and will be held at 10:00am Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel.
Dianna Lou Forquer was born on July 7, 1941 in Toledo, OH to Charles and Velma Finley. She grew up in and attended schools in Temperance Michigan, eventually graduating from Bedford High School in 1959. On April 4, 1959 Dianna married the love of her life Duane Forquer at St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Toledo, Ohio. The couple resided in Toledo, OH until 1966 when they returned to Temperance, MI. In 1980, Dianna and Duane relocated their family to Stillwater, OK where Duane worked as a Tooling Designer for Mercruiser.
Dianna spent the majority of her life working as a cook for several schools and nursing homes. When she was not working, she enjoyed playing bingo at the Stillwater Moose Lodge and more recently at First Council Casino in Newkirk, OK. Dianna was a tomboy, who enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and camping,
Dianna Forquer was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister: Georgine Speer. She is survived by her husband, Duane, of the home. Four sons: Michael Forquer and wife Carol, of Stillwater, OK. Mark Forquer and wife Laura, of Jacksonville, FL. Jeff Forquer and wife Ki Suk of Palane, Korea, and Darrin Forquer and wife Kelly of Pine Cove, North Carolina; Sister Beatrice Smedlyn of Toledo, Ohio, as well as 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, 5106 N. Washington, Stillwater, OK 74075.
