Don Huffman, 63, of Stillwater, passed from this life February 4, 2011, surrounded by his family. A service to celebrates Don's life will be held at Palmer Marler Funeral Home on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater.
Don was born on December 30, 1947 to Everett Huffman and Louise Glover in Enid, Oklahoma. Don was raised and attended schools in Carrier. After high school, Don joined the US Army and was stationed in Germany. After returning stateside, he moved to Stillwater and began his career as a plumber with the company now know as Western Mechanical. In 1970, Don married the love of his life, Linda Calame. Don worked for Western Mechanical for 20 years before starting his own business "DA Plumbing" in 1983. He owned and operated DA Plumbing until his retirement in 2005.
Mr. Huffman was know as a hard worker. He loved to go fishing and enjoyed many other outdoor activities. He loved John Wayne Westerns, living in the home that he built for himself in 1982, but most of all, Don adored spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Don is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home. Two sons: Charles Huffman and Chris Huffman, both of Stillwater, Oklahoma. One daughter: Angie Corbell and husband, John, of Stillwater, Oklahoma. One sister: Lena Galusha and husband, Larry, of Port Aransas, TX. Two Grandchildren: Rebecca and Thomas, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and his brother Cecil Huffman.
