Don Castoe

George Don Castoe passed from this life on February 17, 2013 in Seminole, OK. Memorial Services will be held by the First Church of the Nazarene on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 1:30 P.M.
Don was born to George Albert and Sally Castoe on December 18, 1942 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He grew up in the Bartlesville area and later Stillwater, where he graduated high school with the class of 1960. After graduation, Don joined the Navy where he worked as a firefighter and later as a nuclear welder. In 1962, he married the love of his life Carolyn Sue Terrill in Stillwater. After leaving the service in 1971, Don and Carolyn made their home in Stillwater where he worked as a construction contractor. IN his spare time he enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, and fishing. His favorite thing to do, however, was to spend time with his grandchildren. Don will be remembered as a hard worker who always provided for his family.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Castoe.
Don is survived by his daughters, Shona Gawhega of Stillwater and Robi Wichita of Edmond; siblings, Greta Moore of Ramona, OK, Peggy Spaulding of TX, Lorene Cordell of Oklahoma City, and Monte Castoe and wife Jennifer of Edmond; grandchildren Clinton Brown, Eleia Paige, Ethan Paige, Jesse Castoe, Tristan Castoe, Adrian Castoe, and Tyrrell Castoe; four great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
