Donald Lloyd Deaver age 67 of Stillwater passed away suddenly, Tuesday morning, July 21, 2009 at the Stillwater Medical Center. His services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater and will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Max Rudd and Rev. Larry Huff officiating.
Donald Lloyd Deaver was born on June 22, 1942 in Turley, Oklahoma the son of Howard E. and Mabel (Huey) Deaver. He grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1960. Following High School he was united in marriage to Linda Byars on July 1, 1960 in Tulsa. He started working for ONG in September of 1960 moving to Stillwater in 1964. He retired in December of 1999. He attended the Lost Creek United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing dominoes, working and spending time with his family.
Mr. Deaver is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; three sons, Todd Deaver and wife Debbie of Oklahoma City, Dwayne Deaver and wife Penni of Ripley, and Steven Deaver and wife Lynne of Stillwater; his mother Mabel Deaver of the home, one brother, Curtis Deaver of Wagoner; six grandchildren, Benjamin Deaver, Matthew Money, Bernice Pressel, Austin Deaver, Reagan Deaver and Brennan Deaver; four great grandchildren Adriana, Briana, Corissa and Corinne.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Everett.
Visitation for Mr. Deaver will be held Thursday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the charity or organization of the donors choice.
