Donna Ann Stokes

Donna Ann Stokes, 59, of Stillwater passed from this life on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Services will be held in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel (5106 N. Washington) of Stillwater at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2011 with Pastor Rick Alexander presiding. Interment will follow at Ashcreek Cemetery in McAlester at 3:00 p.m.
Donna was born on October 24, 1951 to Kenneth and Maxine Southard in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Donna was always helping others. She loved to attend events like gospel concerts with her friends. She was well known for getting good deals at garage sales as well. In her spare time she enjoyed collecting angels. Her two favorite angels, however, were her grandchildren who she loved spending time with.
Donna is survived by her three sons Joe Stokes of Ohio, Larry Sean Stokes and wife Tammy of Stillwater, Michael Shane Stokes and wife Pamela of Stillwater, two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Tyler, parents Kenneth and Maxine Southard of McAlester, brother Joe McBee and wife Brenda of Tulsa, and aunt Pat Gonzalez as well as numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her cousin, Patty Southard.
