Doris Koeberle was born November 15, 1928 in Stettin, Germany to Otto and Alfreda (Wilchinsky) Unruh. She was the second child of a pair of twins.
As a young girl she grew up in Stettin, Germany where she attended and graduated high school in 1944.
Soon after graduating Doris left that part of Germany and worked several different jobs until she met her soon to be husband, Walter Koeberle. They were married on July 1, 1955 at the Cologne Cathedral in Cologne, Germany.
After their second child was born they decided to move to America in search of a better life. They landed in New Jersey where they made their home and soon welcomed their third child. In 1963 while living in New Jersey they became U.S. Citizens. After many years in New Jersey, they decided to move to New Mexico to be closer to family.
Then in 1994, after a few visits to Oklahoma to see their son, Norbert and catching a few trophy fish, Walter and Doris decided to hit the road again and move to Yale, Oklahoma where they made their home for the next thirty years until both of their passings. While living in Yale they enjoyed the country life, their retirement years, and as much fishing as they could take in.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; and her parents.
