Dorothy M. Clay, 88, of Morrison passed away on June 5, 2011 at her home. Graveside services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home and will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, Texas. Dorothy was born on November 11, 1922 in Dallas, Texas to William Bailey Peters and Pearl Violet (Dulaney) Peters. She was married to the love of her life, Garland Clay on February 9, 1957, a union that lasted almost 50 years. Dorothy worked as both a homemaker and a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell telephone company. She loved animals and was a member of the Humane Society as well as raising horses, birds, dogs, and cats. In her spare time she enjoyed literature, reading the Bible, crocheting, and cooking. Dorothys favorite past time however was spending time with her family. Dorothy is survived by her four daughters Tina Clay of Morrison, Gina Kifer of Morrison, Linda Beals of Plain City, and Frances Gentry of Austin, TX; sister Martha Harper of Greenville, TX; and five grandchildren.
