Dorothy E. Vasek

Dorothy Vasek, 92, passed on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 in Perry, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9am-8pm at Dighton Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Private Graveside service will be on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 2:00pm at Grace Hill Cemetery. Dighton Marler Funeral Home of Perry is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy was born on July 30, 1927 to Albert and Edna (Moelling) Passow. She grew up in Perry and went to Christ Lutheran School as a child and graduated from Perry High School in 1945. She married Louis Vasek on May 24, 1946. They purchased their home in Perry in 1953. She enjoyed gardening in her flowerbeds, reading, working her crossword puzzles and going to church. She was a member of the LWML unit 3 group at the Christ Lutheran Church. She loved spending time with her children and all her grandchildren.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lila Mae Passow.

She is survived by her children, Margie Janzen and husband George and grandchildren Jason Janzen, Austin Janzen, Donny Morris. Her son Ronnie Vasek and wife Grovella and grandchildren Courtney Vasek and Sabrina Vasek. Her son Kenny Vasek and wife Sharon and grandchildren Tammy Vasek, Kathy Vasek, Angie Payne and Timothy Vasek and 17 great grandkids and 3 great-great grandkids.
