Funeral services for Dottie Wallace, 70, of Perry are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Anderson officiating. Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater.
Dottie was born on September 2, 1939 in Chicago, IL to Peter Berger and Mary (Lynch) Berger. She grew up and attended schools in Chicago, where she graduated high school. She went into the banking industry where she remained for over 30 years. She retired as the bank manager, working primarily at Midwest Bank. She was the secretary of the Oklahoma Boer Goat Association. Dottie married Norman Wallace on March 16, 2001 in Tryon, OK. Her hobby was raising goats, which she loved. She also loved to read. She was a wonderful cook and an avid Cubs fan. Dottie passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009 at home.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Dottie is survived by her husband, Norman of the home; two sons, Roger Stavnem and wife, Karen of Oklahoma City and Daniel Stavnem of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Steven, and Ryan; two brothers, Charles Berger and wife, Annette of Chicago, IL and James Jim Wojtowicz; one sister, Phyllis Leonardo and husband, Anthony of Sholow, AZ; and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Memorial donations may be made in Dottie's name to the American Cancer Society, c/o Palmer Marler Funeral Home.
