Earlene Mae Vernon

July 2, 1932 — August 25, 2018

Earlene Mae (King) Vernon, born July 2, 1932 in Perry, OK - left this life August 25, 2018 in Saint Louis, MO. Services have been entrusted to Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Perry.
Earlene loved to travel and to cook, enjoyed planting flowers, and attending music concerts. She was always up for an adventure, and loved taking in an LA Dodger or STL Cardinal baseball game. She especially loved OSU homecoming and bowl games. Her dry sense of humor was endearing, and she was very proud of being a "King from Noble County". Earlene will be remembered for her honesty and integrity. She is preceded in death by her daughter Tera Lynn. She is survived by her daughter Lynda and son-in-law Neal, granddaughters Kelly and Allison, grandson Matthew, and great-grandsons Isaiah and Damian. Final resting place is Pleasant Valley Sumner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please go out of your way to thank a teacher and a farmer. A memorial service celebrating Earlenes life will be held on Tuesday, September 4th, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Perry.
