Eddie Claud Adams

Eddie Claud Adams, 60, passed from this life Sunday, February 17, 2008 at the Cushing Regional Hospital in Cushing, Oklahoma. Eddie was born December 24, 1947 to Claud and Loretta May Eyler Adams, in Stillwater. A special child, Eddie lived most of his life with his parents on a farm southeast of Stillwater. Eddie learned to do many chores around the farm. Eddies mother founded the Opportunity School for Special Children and he attended that school. He worked at the Shelter Workshop in Stillwater, for twenty years. Eddie was also involved in the Adult Basic Education Program for a period of 10 years. Eddie was always very proud when he received his pay check. He was a scout, and had obtained his Eagle Scout. He loved to go with his mother to the First Christian Church. He also loved to write and cook. Eddie brought great joy to the lives of those who knew him. He most recently made his home in the Resthaven Nursing Home in Cushing, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his Brothers: Frank Adams and wife Sandra, John Duck and wife Robbie of Stillwater. Sisters: Mary Wilson, Coffeyville, Kansas, and Jane Caswell, Yorba Linda, Ca. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Division of the Group Home of Stillwater or the Shelter Workshop of Stillwater c/o Palmer-Marler-Carberry Funeral Home 5106 N. Washington, Stillwater, OK 74075. Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. untiil 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday with Pastor Rick Hendricks officiating with interment to follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Sumner, Oklahoma.
