Edith Lucille Staley

Edith Lucille Staley age 93 of Stillwater went to her new home in Heaven, Thursday afternoon, July 8, 2010 at the Grace Living Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Her funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater, Oklahoma and will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon, July 12, 2010 at the Crosspointe Church which is the former Highland Park Freewill Baptist Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma with Dr. Norman Richmond and Pastor Brandon Mitts officiating. Visitation for Mrs. Staley will be held Sunday afternoon from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Committal Prayers and Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Edith was born on January 8, 1917 in Depew, Oklahoma to Omar and Rosetta Johnson. She married Johnnie Leroy Staley on May 11, 1936. They had three children, one daughter and two sons.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Johnnie, two sons, Jerry John and Jimmie Wayne Staley, one grandson, Lee Wayne Staley, her two sisters, Hazel Pond and Audrey Gibble, and three brothers, Orval, Chester and Robert Johnson.
She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Sue and her husband Jerry Dan Cook of Stillwater, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Mary and husband Steve Going of Cushing, Oklahoma, Diane Cook of Coyle, Oklahoma, Michael and wife Karen Cook of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Johnny and wife Sharon Cook of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Gayle and husband Brian Pulliman of Euless, Texas, Tina and husband Brad Westfall of Ripley, Lisa and husband Gary Molder of Oilton, Oklahoma; 15 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends of the family.
