Elaine Fox

Ruth Elaine Fox, 56, of Stillwater, OK, passed away Sunday May 30, 2010 at Stillwater Medical Center. A celebration of life will be held at 2P.M. Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Eagle Heights Baptist Church, Stillwater, OK. Elaine was born in Tulsa, OK on July 11, 1953 to J. Lowell and June Phillips. After growing up in Western Oklahoma, she returned to Tulsa and graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1971. She continued her education at the University of Tulsa where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Later she completed a Masters Degree in Health Care Administration from Oklahoma State University. On June 12, 1976, Elaine married Greg Fox in Tulsa, OK. Elaine began her career at Stillwater Medical Center in 1977 where she was an R.N. in Labor and Delivery. She transitioned into her current position as the Director of the Maternal Child Health Unit. She was the devoted mother of two daughters and two sons. Elaine was blessed with the gift of hospitality and her home was a welcome retreat for her childrens friends. Elaine is survived by her husband, Greg, of the home, daughter, Karalea, of the home, Lorrelyn, of Tulsa, Nathan, of Tulsa, Layne, of the home, and mother, June, of Tulsa. Also surviving her is her sister-in-law, Betsi Phillips, of Tulsa, niece, Sarah (Phillips) Francisco, and husband, Cody, of Annapolis, MD, and nephew, Mark Phillips, and wife, Dedra, of Tulsa. She is also survived by a close, extended family and a host of friends and colleagues. Elaine was preceded in death by her father, J. Lowell Phillips, and brother, Perry Phillips.
