Elfrieda L. Voise

Elfrieda L. Voise, 85, Stillwater, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, in her home.
Services will be Saturday, April 1st, 2006 at Zion Lutheran Church, east of Perry. Pastors Craig Groseclose and Larry Eslinger will officiate. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Palmer, Marler, Carberry Funeral Home of Stillwater. Visitation beginning at 8:00 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2006. Family will be available to accept friends from 6:30 to 8:30p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Voise was born September 27, 1920 in Gleiszellen, Germany and came to America with her grandparents in 1930.
She graduated from Morrison High School. She married Charles W. Voise August 15, 1940 and they lived on the family farm east of Perry until they moved to Stillwater in 1962.
Voise was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for a number of years. She was a very loving person who spent many hours caring for the elderly and baking goodies for others. She and her husband were foster parents to many children who they loved unconditionally and taught the love of the Lord. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and were touched by her love and kindness.
Voise is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Leon Walter Voise, two sister in-laws; Emma Nida and Lillian Friedemann, three brother in-laws; Charles Nida, Bert Friedemann and Gus Friedemann.
She is survived by several foster children, including her foster daughter Carri Hoffman, her husband Donnie and their children Joshua and Kaleb Hoffman and Micah McLauchlin; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and caregivers Linda Creekmore, Tiffany McCulley, Melanie Rosson, Sharon Montgomery and Barbara Bloom and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
Memorials may be made to Judith Karman Hospice or Zion Lutheran Church. These donations can be made at either location or at Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home.
