Elizabeth Louise Johnson

Elizabeth (Betty) Louise Johnson, 71, of Yale, passed into Gods hands on Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Arrangements are under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater.
Betty was born on November 10, 1937 in San Diego, California to Leroy Wehrung and Irene (Rodriguez) Wehrung. She married Carl Johnson, Jr. on August 23, 1956.
She was raised and attended schools in Ramona, California. In 1956, she was a carhop in California where she met her husband-to-be. After their marriage, she was a stay-at-home mom until her youngest child started school. During her working career, she worked at various places: for Honeywell in CA, Linen Room Supervisor for Aladdin Hotel in NV, Clerk for a Thrift Shop in NV and retired as a Clerk for a Smoke Shop in NV in May 2000. She loved to travel with her children and enjoyed family gatherings at her home. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, bead working and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a stepfather Robert (Grandpa Bob) Moran and a baby brother, Walter.
She is survived by five children: Carl Johnson, III and Pamela Anderson of Stillwater, Kelly and Danny Driskel of Yale, Cynthia and Cordell Asbill of Stillwater, Rochelle Johnson and Dale Hudson of Drumright and Linda and Bill Shephard of Oxford, New York; sixteen grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three beloved siblings, Virginia and Andy Scheet of Nevada, Katy Gibbs of Nevada and Mary and Tom Brown of Tenn.; a dear sister-in-law, Nancy Eddy of California; and numerous family members and friends.
As their spirits are joined now, Mama and Daddys ashes will be laid to rest during a graveside service at Lawson Cemetery in Yale. Services will be held at a later date when all their loving family and friends can be there to attend.
