Ervin Andrew Layton

Ervin Andrew Layton was born April 16, 1952 to Francis and Mary (Hughes) Layton in Perry, Oklahoma. He passed from this life April 17 2015, at his home where he resided with his mother and step-father. Ervin was 63 years and one day old. Ervin lived with his brother Kenneth and his family for twenty years before moving to live with his mom and step-father. Before Ervin became disabled he had worked as a tree trimmer. He was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed fishing with his family and his friends. Ervin finished High School and continued his education in California. He joined the Army and spent time serving his country from 1972-1974. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Roy and Mary Holsonbake of Perry, two daughters, Alisa and Amy Layton of Murrieta, California, two sisters: Patricia Jones and Phyllis Smith of Perry, two brothers: Steve Layton of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Kenneth Layton of Perry. Two step-sisters: Linda Frazier of Perry and Judy Cox of Lawton, One step-brother: Mike Marshall of Perry, His step-mother, Joyce Layton of Perry. Ervin is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, F.C. Layton, one sister Donna Sisco, one brother David Layton and a half-brother Joseph Carl Layton. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in the chapel of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Perry, OK. Rev. Chris Griffith will officiate.
