Ethel V. Smith

SMITH, Ethel Vivian, died on Friday January 27, 2006 at the Stillwater Medical Center. She was 90 years old. Services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home.
Ethel was born June 29, 1915 to Allen and Annie McDaniel in Cushing Oklahoma. She married M. Eugene Smith on December 10th, 1940 and the couple then moved to Oklahoma City, OK where she spent most of her adult life. She loved to travel and loved people. One of her favorite destinations was Las Vegas, Nevada, where she liked to people watch. She loved to watch planes arrive and depart and spent time talking to people who had just arrived home from a trip.
Ethel is survived by her Daughter-in-law, Pat Smith of Stillwater, one Grandson, Stephen Anthony Smith, of Stillwater, and one Granddaughter, Stephanie Smith Blackwell and her husband Ernest of Choteau, and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Merle Eugene Smith, one son Steve Smith, one brother, and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on Monday January 30, 2006. Services will be Tuesday January 31, 2006 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Cushing, Oklahoma at 2:00 pm.
