Frances A. Schneider

Frances A. Schneider, age 86, of Stillwater, Oklahoma died Tuesday, February 19, 2008, in Stillwater. Frances was born on January 6, 1922 at Ashland, Kansas. Frances Lived in Minneola, Kansas with her family thru the 3rd grade and then the family moved to Garden City. She graduated with the class of 1941 from Garden City, Kansas High School. She started nurses training at St. Catherine Hospital but got married before she had a chance to complete it. She and her husband, David W. Schneider were married on September 1, 1943 and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2006. They were married for over 63 years. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, raising pansies, parades, knitting, taking pictures and watching a good hallmark movie. She loved to travel around Florida with her sister. Frances taught exercise class at the Finney County Senior Center for the stroke club. In her later years she moved to Stillwater. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one grandchildren. She is survived by three sons, Paul Schneider of Garden City, Kansas, Larry Schneider of Yuma, Colorado, Richk Schneider of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two daughters, Connie Hale of Tyler, Kansas, Linda Crippen of Leavenworth; a sister, Marjorie Seay of Apapka, Florida; fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Garden Valley Church in Garden City, Kansas with the Rev. Charles West and the Rev. Stevee Ensz officiating. Interment will follow in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
