Frank William Adams

Frank William Adams, 77, of Stillwater, passed away Thursday February 8, 2024, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

Frank was born June 11, 1946, in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Claud and Loretta (Eyler) Adams. He graduated from Stillwater High School in 1964 and went directly into the National Guard bootcamp since he enlisted just prior to graduating high school. He served for six years gaining the rank of Private First Class until being discharged in 1970. He married Sandra Nottingham September 1, 1966, where she blessed him with three daughters, Cathy, Barbara, and Deborah.

Frank worked as a proud union electrician for over 55 years. He always had a family farm with cattle and occasionally other livestock. Frank loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman sharing his knowledge with his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and anyone else who asked. Frank was a rockhound constantly searching the land for arrowheads and other treasures lost in time.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John Duck and Eddie Adams; and sister, Mary Wilson.

Frank is survived by his wife, Sandra of the home; three daughters, Cathy and Deborah Adams of Stillwater, and Barbara Adams of Washington; four grandchildren, Amanda Fitzgerald, Jacob Ventris, Trevor Dunbar, and Kimberly Dunbar of Stillwater and one sister, Jane Caswell of California. He was much loved and will be missed.

Visitation will be 9AM to 8PM Thursday at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. Funeral services will be 10AM Friday, February 16, 2024 at Southside Baptist Church in Stillwater with Paul Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
