Geneva Christine Hesser

Geneva Christine Hesser, of Roswell, NM, formerly of Stillwater, OK, went to be with her Lord on October 6, 2008 in Roswell, NM.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Paul Anderson of Sunnybrook Christian Church will officiate. Following the service, a celebration of Moms life will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Sunnybrook Christian Church, followed by a lunch. Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home.
Geneva was born on November 20, 1912 in Gravette, AR to James and Gertie Jensen. Her father died when she was very young, but she had a wonderful stepfather, Everette Pop LaFollette.
She married Ival L. Hesser on June 20, 1933 in Glencoe. He preceded her in death in 2002. She was a homemaker and kept the dairy and farm going when he went to the oilfield to work. She was always active in church work and had a strong Christian faith. She had been a member of Sunnybrook Christian Church for many years.
They bought their farm east of Stillwater in 1947, and lived there until she moved to Roswell, NM in 2003 to be near her daughter and son-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ival; and an infant daughter, Marjorie Joan.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Jerry Johnson of Roswell, NM; one son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Billie Hesser of Stillwater, OK; one brother, Ercell Jensen of Stillwater, OK; and a dear friend, Pat Demaree of Stillwater, OK; seven grandchildren, Debbie Forman and husband, Lance of Norman, OK, Ginger Ritcher of Albuquerque, NM, Randy Hesser and wife, Teri of Stillwater, OK, Jill McMurtry and husband, Greg and Jerriann Smith, all of Amarillo, TX, Thomas Hesser and wife, Angie of Edmond, OK, and Jeff Hesser and wife, Mindy of Hendrix, OK; twelve great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and two step-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be her seven grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made in Genevas name to the Benevolence Committee at Sunnybrook Christian Church, 421 E.
