Genevieve Marie (Graven) Blair passed away on Monday, November 8, 2010 in Andover, KS at the age of 86 years. Graveside services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 15, 2010 in the Lawson Cemetery, Yale, OK with Darrell Graven officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Yale.
The daughter of the late Earl Graven and Edna Marie (Nevergall) Graven, Genevieve was born on March 22, 1924 in Crazy Horse, OK. She was reared and educated in Jennings, OK. She then lived in Yale for a few years but spent most of her life in Catoosa, OK. Genevieve was an accomplished piano player and played in a band named the Crickets for several years.
Genevieve is survived by one brother, Leon Graven and his wife Mary of Drumright, OK; one sister, Laura Goben of Wichita, KS; 13 nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Joe Blair and two brothers, Clair Graven and Volney Graven.
